   Books.

When I first started studying the Bible I started with the book of Revelation. Like most people, I found it fascinating - and its good to study something in the Bible you find fascinating as it gives the motivation to continue. That was 40 years ago. That study lead to many other avenues of Bible Study. After all, Revelation is the climax of things that started before creation. Everything in the Bible comes to a climax in Revelation. Over the years I have read quite a lot of books on the subject. A couple of times I have taught my way through it verse by verse in a small group. Each time I teach it God opens up more of it.

The interesting thing is this - in 40 years I haven't felt the need to change any of the basic conclusions I came up with back then. By avoiding wild flights of fancy in the first place and rooting my understanding in Bible and Hebrew symbolism I avoided needless speculations.

I haven't the expertise to do a verse by verse commentary on Revelation, so this book is not one of those. Rather I decided, with this volume, to write a series of essays on ideas in Revelation tracing them through the book of Revelation. I hope you enjoy it.

I would recommend to any reader that they read two other books on this site first:

1. God's Eternal Purpose.

2. The Second Coming.

They provide a lot of background and proof for positions I have taken, that I have not repeated in this volume.

Section 3. Other Visions.

Chapter 10. The Church in the Last Days.

Persecuted, victorious, raptured and transformed.

Chapter 11. The Antichrist and False Prophet.

Not as powerful as they think they are.

Chapter 12.  Seven Last Visions #1 – Babylon.

The mystery of iniquity and the restrainer.

Chapter 13. The Coming of the Lord.

Won't that be a day?

Chapter 14. Armageddon.

Chapter 15. The Millennium.

Chapter 16. He Shall make all things new.
